Meet Susan Casey: Media Director and Décor Designer!

This month, reach your marketing and decorating goals with our media director Susan Casey. She creates a decorative wreath that’s as versatile and customizable as the media plans she makes for our clients!
Make Your Own Customizable Wreath!
Materials:
- 14-inch wire wreath frame (Find one at a dollar store.)
- 2 spools of 6-inch thick burlap ribbon (If you prefer a thinner ribbon, grab an extra spool.)
- Wire cutters
- Scissors
- Wire
- Decorative accents to fit your style (You can try silk flowers, flags, holiday-themed trinkets, anything you want.)
Steps:
1. Fold the end of your burlap ribbon in half twice. Cut about 6 inches of wire and bend it into a U shape. Push the ends through the burlap ribbon and twist the wire onto a vertical divider on the frame to hold it in place.
2. Starting from the inner ring, push the ribbon through the frame until about 4 fingers can fit into the loop. (If you prefer a tighter look, make a smaller loop.)
3. Repeat this on the second and third ring.
4. Push the ribbon loops over until they’re bunched on the side against a divider. Twist the ribbon 3 times to keep it in place.
5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 until the ribbon is going all the way around the frame.
6. Finish the wreath the same way you started it. Fold the ribbon in half twice and use a 6-inch piece of wire to secure it to the frame.
7. Decorate! Stick silk flowers through the burlap and secure them by twisting them under the rungs of the frame. Add accents that match the season, such as flags, Easter eggs, mini footballs, etc. For permanent accents, you can use glue to secure them. If you want to be able to change them out, glue wire to the backs of interchangeable accents so they’re secured while remaining removable.
