Did U know these marketing terms that’ll make you look uber smart in your next marketing meeting?

Unique Visitor

One of the ways we track campaign results is by keeping count of visits to a landing page. This data will have two separate values: total visitors and unique visitors. Unique visitors is the number of un-duplicated visitors equal to or less than the total visitors. If there were 5 total visits to the landing page but 4 of them were the same person, there would be 2 unique visitors.

URL

A URL (Uniform Resource Locator) is the address that leads to your website, like www.facebook.com or www.devaney.net. Choosing the right URL is an important step in building your website and your brand. Aim for a URL that’s easy to remember and clearly identifies you. Try to avoid using words that have many homophones (words that sound the same but are spelled differently) to minimize confusion when users hear your URL.

User Experience Design

Also important when creating a website, user experience (UX) design focuses on making the website user friendly. UX design ensures that your website is not just visually appealing, but also intuitive to navigate and engage with, so that even the least tech-friendly user doesn’t struggle with it. Having an easy-to-use website will improve the perception of your brand and make it easier for customers to do business with you.
