Tuerk House Unveils First Phase of $10.2 million renovation project

On the morning of Thursday, September 12, Tuerk House hosted a reception and press event to celebrate the completion of the first phase of its $10.2 million renovation project at its main campus on Ashburton Street in West Baltimore.

Tuerk House welcomed staff, board members, donors, community partners and local dignitaries to tour the all-new residential area on the building’s third floor, which now features modern two-person guest suites for patients seeking residential addiction treatment. Completion of the third floor is just the first step in Tuerk House’s mission to transform its decades-old facility into a state-of-the-art addiction treatment center serving patients in Baltimore and beyond.

The Devaney & Associates PR team invited the local media to attend the event, successfully securing coverage from The Daily Record, WMAR-TV, and WBAL-TV.

The first stage of the Tuerk House renovation was funded by $1.8 million in grants from the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and $800,000 of the organization’s own resources. Tuerk House is seeking donations to fund the project’s completion. Donations can be made online at TuerkHouse.org.
